DAVID CARUS is a bestselling author, speaker, recording artist and entrepreneur. He studied Government at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. and worked on Capitol Hill with plans of one day being President of the United States. His love for art and books inspired him to take a slightly different path and he began performing spoken word poetry and rapping.
After college he started Salad Bowl Records and recorded hip hop music in his hometown of Salinas, California. He taught English at his old high school and found himself at the forefront of a battle over standardized testing and led an educational movement that resulted in district wide changes and catapulted him into a run for public office. At the age of 25 he became the first rapper in U.S. history to run for Congress. He moved to New York City and became a leader amongst artists and creators, writing, painting, filming, and recording music. Founder of the blog Artists Run This Planet, host of The David Carus Show, author of the books Super Artist - How To Take Flight As A Creator and Hip Hop Will Save The World he continues to create art that uplifts mankind.
